mango is ripe

it's been a busy week for events. there were so many since monday that by wednesday, we were worn out. give up na kami. tuloy, we missed cesar gaupo's show for metrowear, bah. does anyone know where we can view it? send us your links! monday we went to a press conference for mango at makati shangri-la (that's when we spotted the go-see for monique lhuillier's show). there were four principals from spain, as well as the local franchise holders, in the panel who fielded questions from the press. mango has been quite aggressive in the last few months, opening new branches left (megamall) and right (alabang town center), and soon in cebu, davao, and pampanga! maybe even baguio! and for the first time, they held a gala last tuesday (hence, the press con with principals). mango must be feeling the effects of zara, which has been just as aggressive in its expansion—they just opened their third branch at shangri-la plaza. at the mango fashion show at makati shang, they made a big deal of the lingerie collection, which they're launching here this season. the show opened with it with geneva cruz as its "star model": pops fernandez was also there, but oops, we missed her because we had to make a french exit for the next event, the launch of the net group and net cube at bonifacio global city, taguig. a few more shots from the mango show:
