philippine fashion week 2007

while we weren't looking, philippine fashion week snuck up on us. it started last friday, march 23, at rockwell tent. and we missed it. and we've been missing it, dang! well, life happens, and we haven't had the time to swing by. you (and we) can still catch the rest of the shows starting tomorrow. (otherwise, we'll just read the reports of cecile zamora in star and alex vergara in inquirer.) PFW doesn't have a website (or we just can't find it), so if you want the sked pick up a copy of the philippine star. they're a media partner, so the complete list of shows should be there.

fuchsiaboy: thanks, we'll try our best to go! (pero sunday ha...)
anonymous: the invites say "invitation must be presented at door," but we're pretty sure anyone can watch the shows at glorietta activity center from wednesday to saturday.

Don't know how strict with are with invites at the Rockwell Tent shows this week. The woman in front of me at registration got in, along with her 8 companions, with none of them having an invite. I guess as long as you look "fasyon" - no need to name-drop - they'll let you in. So much for invites having to be presented at the door.

we guess it also depends on how full (or empty) the venue is...

Wow tell me about it. Daming abubot yung mga ibang wala namang invites. Nangunguha pa ng seats na reserved for others. Hahahaha....

Anyway, if you're interested to see a review of PFW SS07 menswear, you can catch it on my blog as soon as the shows are done. :)

The show I attended - where the woman without the invite managed to sneak in herself and her 8 companions - was the very well-attended YDG show. Full house, darling. They had to stop assigning seats for a while at the registration desk to let the mob by the door enter first. So that show didn't really need a hakot crowd without invites, ha ha.
