and no joey samson show would be complete without menswear. high-waist trousers, leggings under shorts, skintight cropped pants, short-sleeved blazers, and peek-a-boo shirts, anyone?

HHMM. plagiarism ito! nakakaloka.
Ms. Liza, whats your comment on local designers who "copies" designs of foreign designers and pass them as their own originals. im not saying its samson, but some local designers have been doing that since the 70s. except inno who is very original in his designs, does his research and really is the pied piper of local fashion. no wonder he is patronized by the zobels and the foreses.
i agree with the 1st commentor. the outfit in the second pic looks like a leann "petals" marshall creation.
and oo nga no, the guy in the last pic mukhang si john lloyd nga...
john lloyd looks so stiff
overheard from another guest at the show: omg! that is so givenchy menswear ss09!... bunched up leggings under shorts, the color and the hairstyle! he thought he could fool us?
in fashion, especially these days, it's very difficult to come up with any design that is truly original. even international designers come up with collections that are derivative of or inspired by other more senior or more directional designers. and they are not ashamed to admit it because the collection becomes a tribute of sorts to their "idols" who have influenced their point of view and creative process, whether directly or subtly. it's all part and parcel of fashion—as long as the outfits are not exact copies of original designs (google yves saint laurent sues ralph lauren).
as for leanne's "leaf" design? puh-leeez it's not like she invented that...
copycat
whats the shoes na suot ng gurl models? its so nice!
Overall the clothes look okay. Not mind-blowingly fabulous, but okay. I am however, seriously hating that fingerless gloves look.
