dwell studio

the last couple of years have seen a great improvement in rustan's makati home section. the renovation revealed a brighter, more inviting floor, displays with clear, unobstructed sight lines, and, of course, improved choice of merchandise—color, designs, brands. when we spotted this bedroom tableau, naging crush namin yung beddings.
the fash pack loves prints, even in our bedsheets. it used to drive the hubby batty kasi hindi sha makatulog. pero nasanay na rin hehe.. sorry, but we choose the bedsheets! anyhoo, we found out that the leaf-print duvet and pillow case set is by dwell studio, a brand that started out as dwell home furnishings, but was recently changed to DwellStudio (yes, one word with a big D and big S). we checked their website and just like us, they love prints too! they also have a separate children's line, which you can find at rustan's makati's third floor.
and if you buy something worth P5,000, you get a nylon tote bag free! cuuute!!!
here are more things from the baby collection, which—sshhh—we want to get for ourselves...
baby bags that can take you from weekend to work:
baby-bottle cases that can double up as your kikay kit:
storage cubes that can store, well, anything:

I saw the DwellStudio Baby display in Rustan’s Shangri-la Tower while looking for a gift for my god daughter but ended up buying more stuff for myself. I love the baby bottle cases. They are really made as travel cases I think but I use them as my kikay kit.. I put my shampoos, make-ups and hair brushes.. The smaller one I put my cellphone and ipod chargers in… I also bought one of the insulated baby bottle holders and used it as my mineral water bottle case. It keeps my drink nice and cool the entire day.

I have the Home Duvet set shown in the blog entry but in the red version... I just love it... It's so soft and remains to be that way even after washing it in the washing machine, with or without fabric softener. I'm thinking of buying the Talon next time...

It's not true what they say about thread count, the higher the better... It's more than that.. Oh yes, I did my research... There are other things you have to consider; the thickness of the thread used, how the fabric is woven and how it is treated are only some of the factors that determine the comfort and overall feel and quality of sheets...

DwellStudio sheets are one the best investments I've made. I only have around 3 sets of sheets for my bed and I change them every 2 weeks. And I must say that of the three sets I have (and I have brands that are even more expensive that DwellStudio, as in way up there), my DwellStudio sheets remain to be the most durable, not only retaining the quality but also how softness. Depending on the line and design, DwellStudio sheets are made of 100% sateen and percale egyptian cotton, giving a silk-like feel and lustrous look.
