
Kapoor’s greatest contribution features the original combination of pink gold and reflecting steel surfaces. His interpretation merges tradition with contemporary innovation. The curved forms and the mirror-like surfaces, characteristic of his artworks, find shape in this new design which perfectly represents the contemporary Bulgari style. It is the first time that a Bulgari creation is interpreted by a contemporary and prominent international artist.
that night, the establishment was turned into a gallery of sorts as the original B.zero1 design and the collections that followed, all the way to the latest anish kapoor ring were encased in glass boxes for the guests to admire (read: drool over :-P). we were hoping that the artist himself was in the premises; unfortunately not. but there were enough beautiful people to go around...
