staycation: the bellevue manila

the hubby and i stayed at the bellevue manila last dec 2009, but this time we were billeted at the tower wing, i.e., the newer and fancier wing. we were given an executive suite, which has a long hallway (with closets and a kitchenette-like sink), sala, and big bedroom:
the spacious bathroom has two sinks, shower, and bathtub. pero weird lang, the blinds by the bathtub open to the hallway. careful if you invite your colleagues to your suite!
at ang sosi ng bath products ha. acca kappa lang naman...
the bedroom view looked into the main wing:
but if you look to the left, you can at least see laguna de bay. and the sunrise if you wake up early enough ;-)
this time, because we checked in on a saturday, we were finally able to check out vue bar on the 22nd floor, yey! (because it's closed on sundays.) and here it comes, the sunset! we were lucky to get beautiful colors yesterday. and look, we got a double sunset! hehe...
here's the hubby with his faithful companion, the macbook air, with the twinkling lights of muntinlupa behind him:
on to dinner! bellevue has a chinese restaurant called phoenix court, and the food here is excellent! i've heard this same opinion from several other people, so if you live in the area or are willing to drive all the way to alabang to get your peking-duck fix, then this restaurant is well-worth the trek. our orders, from the top: seafood hot sour soup, roasted duck hong kong style, and prawns with XO sauce. all eaten with fried rice, of course!
the resto also has a private room with the biggest round table i've ever seen. this can seat up to 30 people! (i took this photo a few days before, during a press con.)
